Options that may be available to borrowers who are unable to afford their mortgage payments and wish to avoid foreclosure
Please know that our loans are owned by private parties who invest through DMC and often rely on the mortgage payments for their income and/or retirement.
Requests by borrowers that cannot afford their mortgage payments and wish to avoid foreclosure will be communicated to the private party beneficiaries promptly so a decision can be made regarding avoiding a foreclosure action being filed
Prior to contacting our servicing department, Diversified Mortgage, please have your loan number available, your property address, your mortgage payment amount and a general idea of what you have in mind regarding your mortgage payment
Financial documents borrowers should collect and be prepared to present to Diversified Mortgage when discussing options to avoid foreclosure.
1) If you have listed your property for sale, please have a copy of the listing agreement available.
2) If you have an appraisal or an opinion of value from a Realtor or current comparable sales of other similar properties in your area, please make that available
3) Please provide the status of your real estate taxes on your property, or if you have entered any payment plan contracts with the County Tax Collector's Office.
